"Ride" Zine

Description

Ride is set in an alternate near-future Hawaii and follows Jasmine, the main protagonist, as a devastating fires shape both the environment and society. The story delves into themes of environmental change and a rigid caste system, highlighting how disaster affects different social groups. During my internship with the Center for Science and Imagination, I was tasked with designing a zine that would visually and narratively capture these themes. The project pushed me to distill complex concepts into a compelling, accessible format while staying true to the story’s core message.
